JEFF SCHMUKI: HOMESTEAD

NOVEMBER 7– DECEMBER 10, 2013
Join us November 15, 2013 to hear artist Jeff Schmuki talk about his intriguing exhibit which features a complex yet whimsical hydroponic system, accompanied by ten oversized drawings detailing its mechanics. SoundGarden is an installation that produces rainbow chard along with the sounds of the hydroponic growth process....

"By inventing new ways to connect nature to contemporary life, the bond between people and nature is strengthened. Being concerned with a wide range of environmental stresses and wasteful practices, I link ecological issues to a diverse array of creative operations and tactics. Horticultural based installations, interventions, and performance foster discussion and generate action in the area of ecological awareness." - jeffschmuki.com
